Hi, I am Tamanna from Kolkata Sanved. I am sharing a very special story with all of you to inspire........
Her place is Bihar. She is 14 years old.
Her mother works at other people’s homes. She has two sisters and one brother. Her brother goes to school. Her sisters and she do not go to school because they are girls. Her mother thinks that girls should learn domestic work because this will be useful when they get married. She go and sell milk from place to place. Her brother comes home and tells her mother that his teacher asks for his school fees. Her mother said, “From where do I get this much money? From now on, you will not go to school. You will work with your father at hotels instead.” But my friend said at least let him study, but mother asked me to shut up and said she talk back too much. Her mother said, she has the burden of three girls on herself and that my friend should not tell her mother what to do. My friends went to the school master and asked him not to expel her brother. She told “I will give you his fees.” The school master smiled and said, “You are a little girl, how will you get so much money?” but she asked him to take the money she had and also asked him to give her two sisters admission to the school. The school master gave her sisters admission and also kept her brother in school. She came home and told her mother, “We need your love and support. You cannot believe in what other people think and ruin our lives this way.” Her father came and said, “Daughter, I am going to support you whether anyone else does or not.”
Her mother looked at us lovingly and said, “Kids, forgive me.” She then hugged us. Then, suddenly someone comes in and says some people are coming along with the school master. The master came and said, “From now on, the full expenses of your children’s education will be borne by the school. Every child in the village will be educated. Now, our school is being supported by the government. The government will make a big school in the village where each child from the village will be educated and will do good things for the country.”
